Due diligence obligations - responsibilities

Competence and responsibility for compliance with the due diligence obligations under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) are organised in two parts at Remmers:

is responsible for monitoring risk management at Remmers in accordance with Section 4 (3) LkSG. Mr Olschewski is the first point of contact for all human rights and environmental concerns of employees, authorities, customers and suppliers.

In addition, Remmers has appointed a lawyer as (external) Human Rights Officer (TÜV), who additionally monitors risk management in the supply chains and continues to advise the persons responsible internally. As an ombudsman, the external human rights officer also guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of whistleblowers and complainants. The appointed external human rights officer acts impartially, is not bound by instructions and is subject to a duty of confidentiality.
